Samsung Galaxy A9 - How many cameras do you want?
Recently Samsung announced it's new Galaxy A9, which has 4 rear cameras. Yeah you heard it right. You'll be thinking why there are 4 cameras? Well i'll tell you everything about it in detail.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 comes with a Snapdragon 660 chipset, Adreno 512 GPU and a 6GB RAM with an internal storage of 128GB which can be expanded upto 512GB with a dedicated SD card slot.
Coming to the display, it has a 6.3 inches 18.5:9 Super AMOLED dislplay with a resolution of 1080 x 2220 and a screen density of 392 ppi.
It runs on Android 8.0 Oreo, which doesn't have a confirmation if it will get an Android 9.0 Pie update or not. The phone will be available in three colors, Caviar Black, Bubblegum Pink, Lemonade Blue.
Let's talk about the main highlight of this phone, the cameras.
It has 4 rear cameras, 24MP (f/1.7, PDAF) + 8MP (f/2.4, 12mm ultrawide) + 10MP (f/2.4, telephoto - 2x optical zoom) + 5MP (f/2.2, depth sensor) which can record 2160p and 1080p at 30fps. And a secondary camera of 24MP (f/2.0)
It has Fingerprint (rear-mounted), accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass.
This phone doesn't have any IP certification, so you shouldn't let this this phone make any contact with water. This phone will also also have the full version of Samsung Pay and also has NFC.
This phone can easily give you a full day power with it's 3800mAh battery which you can charge quickly with the in-box fast charger.
Now let's talk about the pricing, the price is only revealed for UK which is £549.
Although we've no idea about the India and US pricing, but we're expecting it to be around $700 for US and anything around 52 - 55,000 for India.
This phone will be available from november.
I'll give some of my opinions on this phone, although this phone has a great hype but i think the pricing is going to be a little bit higher for this phone. If Samsung would do the pricing around $500 for US and 35,000 for India, then it would be a reasonable price for it. There are already many phones in that range, and if they'll get their bar a little bit higher then they'll have to deal with flagship competitors. So we'll see how Samsung does it.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 is already unique in it's own, as it has the first Quad rear camera setup but we'll have to see how it competes against competitors like OnePlus 6, as they have less pricing than it.
